Rangers Select Radek Faksa in 2011 CHL Import Draft

Kitchener Rangers Head Coach and General Manager Steve Spott has announced that the team has selected Radek Faksa 22nd overall in the 2011 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.

Faksa, a native of the Czech Republic, played 28 games last season with HC Trinec U18 of the Czech U18. He registered 19 goals and 30 assists for 49 points during the regular season. He also played 24 games with the HC Trinec U20 team where he tallied nine goals and six assists for 15 points during the regular season.

Faksa is a skilled player with good hockey sense and vision. He is able to make creative passes through traffic and is not afraid to drive the net. He is able to play a strong physical game and competes hard. He is eligible for the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
