Kingston Frontenacs News Release

The Kingston Frontenacs are please to announce that they have acquired Darcy Greenaway from London in exchange for Kingston's 15th round selection in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. Greenaway was originally chosen in the 7th round, 139th overall in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection by the Knights.

Last season the Odessa area native played for the Wellington Dukes, winners of the Dudley Hewitt Cup as Central Canadian Jr.A champions. Greenaway appeared in 47 regular season games, scoring 17 times and added 10 assists. In 25 play-off contests, he added 13 more goals and 6 helpers.

"Darcy is a player we think will come and compete for a spot. He's a smooth skater who has very good puck skills," said General Manager Doug Gilmour.

Training Camp opens the end of August for the Black and Gold, with the two home exhibition games slated for September 9th at 7:30 versus the Belleville Bulls and then Wednesday September 14th at 7:00 versus the Ottawa 67's.
