The Peterborough Petes announced today that General Manager David Reid has selected defenceman Peter Ceresnak (Sir-ez-nack) from Slovakia with the 4th overall selection in the 2011 CHL Import Draft this morning.
Ceresnak is a right shot defenceman who played last season for Trencin in the Slovakian Jr. league. Peter has twice represented Slovakia at the Under 18 Tournament (2010, 2011) and in 2011 at the World Junior Championship in Buffalo, New York. He is a physical stay at home defender with excellent puck skills, a strong skater with above average acceleration and is very tough to knock off the puck.
