LAST WEEK IN REVIEW

RAMPAGE UPDATE: In their fullest week of the season, the Rampage went 1-4-0-0 playing five-games in seven nights. The team kicked off the week with a win in Syracuse on Monday, snapping a six-game winning streak for the Crunch. Lee Goren scored twice and handed out an assist to help goalie Brent Krahn post his fourth win of the season with 27 saves. Brent Cullaton and Kent Huskins both contributed assists aiding in the 6-3 victory. On Wednesday night, Kyle Rossiter opened up scoring against Rochester with a power-play goal, assisted by Josh Olson and Gregory Campbell, the only goal for San Antonio until early in the third. Olson and Campbell managed markers in the final period, resulting 5-3 against the Americans. The Rampage broke their overall 2-2-0-0 record against the Moose on Friday, falling 5-0 in the first match of the week. Saturday's contest remained in Manitoba, giving Jeff Paul and Olson scoring opportunities in the third. Olson, who co-leads the Rampage in goals (17-9-26), gained the last point of the game in San Antonio's passing try against the Moose, 3-2. In an exhausting week, San Antonio took their efforts to Milwaukee on Sunday, averting a shutout midway through the third period. Goren captured the lone goal 10:37 into the last period off an assist from Campbell, ending 5-1. The team will confront Milwaukee again on Wednesday before heading home to their only home game of the month, facing intrastate rival Houston on Friday.
