Blackhawks recall Leighton, Assign Munro

The Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled goaltender Michael Leighton from Norfolk and have assigned goaltender Adam Munro to Norfolk in the American Hockey League.

Leighton began the season with the Blackhawks playing in 25 games with a record of 5-13-5 with 2 shutouts and a 2.97 goals against average. He was assigned to Norfolk on January 15th and has appeared in 13 games for the Admirals posting a record of 8-4-1 with a 1.99 goals against average and a .917 save percentage.

Adam Munro was signed by the Blackhawks on February 18th and was recalled from Norfolk on February 19th. Munro began the season at Gwinnett in the ECHL where he played in six games and had a record of 4-1-1 with a 2.76 goals against average. He was assigned to Norfolk in mid-November where he appeared in 12 games posting a 5-4-1 record and a 2.24 goals against average. He did not appear in any games for the Blackhawks.
