River Rats Clouthier Reassigned

Albany N.Y. – The Albany River Rats announced today that left wing Brett Clouthier has been reassigned to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL by the Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Devils.

Clouthier, 22, went scoreless with 84 penalty minutes in 27 games for the River Rats during the 2003-04 campaign. He earned his 400th American Hockey League penalty minute on January 22nd against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at Continental Airlines Arena. The Ottawa, Ontario native returns to Cincinnati where he totaled three goals and three assists for six points with nine penalty minutes in eight games earlier this season.

The River Rats kick off a four-game road trip against the Rochester Americans in a 7:35pm face-off at Blue Cross Arena tonight. The team will then take on the Hamilton Bulldogs at Copps Coliseum in a 4:00pm contest on Sunday afternoon. The trip concludes with a pair of games against the Manitoba Moose on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm (cst).
