SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 18, 2014) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has traded defenseman Zach Miskovic to the Rockford IceHogs in exchange for future considerations.
Miskovic, 28, is in his fifth professional season, and first full season with the Rampage. The blueliner has two assists through 10 games with the Rampage this year, and has recorded two goals and two assists through six games for the Rampage's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones, since being loaned on Dec. 30. The River Forest, Ill., native has 201 AHL games under his belt, with the bulk of it being spent with Hershey after turning pro in the 2009-10 season. He has 19 goals and 24 assists in that span.
Prior to his professional career, Miskovic played four full seasons for St. Lawrence University. In 154 games with the Saints, he totaled 27 goals and 46 assists. He began his hockey career in the United States Hockey League with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.
