Minnesota Returns Blum to Iowa

Des Moines, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck announced on Saturday the National Hockey League club has assigned defenseman Jonathon Blum to the Iowa Wild, Minnesota's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate. Blum, 24 (1/30/89), skated in four games with Minnesota after being recalled from Iowa on Dec. 30 and averaged 12:13 in time on ice per game. The 6-foot-1, 188-pound native of Long Beach, Calif., has recorded 22 points (7-1522) and 20 penalty minutes (PIM) in 95 career NHL games with Nashville and Minnesota. He has tallied 17 points (4-1317) in 31 games with Iowa this season.

Iowa concludes a three-game homestand on Saturday at 12:35 p.m. Saturday is the first matinee home game with the 12:35 p.m. faceoff. The team celebrates Kids Winterfest with plenty of kids' activities on the concourse and the first 5,000 fans receive ThunderSticks. It is also a Subway Family Four Pack Night. Fans may purchase four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and four Subway BOGO coupons for as low as $44.
