MILWAUKEE - Pavel Brendl scored a goal and assisted on a pair of goals, including the game-winner, as the San Antonio Rampage defeated the the West Division's 2nd ranked Milwaukee Admirals 4-2 Tuesday night at the Bradley Center. The Rampage (13-27-1-2) broke a five-game road losing streak by scoring three of their goals on the power-play.
The Rampage scored back-to-back power-play goals to get a 2-0 lead in the second period as Layne Ulmer and Eric Chouinard joined Brendl in registering multiple-point nights. Ulmer, who leads the Rampage in scoring, recorded his 12th goal of the season at 4:47 in the second period before defenseman Brad Tiley notched his first goal in a Rampage uniform 40 seconds later.
Tiley's goal was his 100th AHL goal.
Kevin Klein tallied the Admirals' first goal with two minutes left in the second period.
After assisting on Tiley's milestone, Chouinard gave the Rampage a 3-1 lead with the team's third consecutive power-play goal as Brendl and Ulmer tallied the assists at 13:42.
Brendl's goal a minute and a half later would snap the Rampage's four-game losing streak and break Milwaukee's six-game winning streak despite the Admirals' goal 26 later.
San Antonio will finish their back-to-back games on the road tomorrow in Grand Rapids as they take on the Griffins at 6 p.m. at the Van Andel Arena.
