Rampage to wear St. Patrick's Day jerseys Saturday

SAN ANTONIO (Mar. 17, 2006) - The San Antonio Rampage will don special St. Patrick's Day themed jerseys Saturday night when they host the Houston Aeros at the AT&T Center at 7 p.m.

Fans can save money and earn money when they come watch the game. Saturday's game is Express-News Value Night where fans can get a ticket, hot-dog, soda and a bag of chips for just $15. Fans can also participate in the 50/50 "Pot of Gold" raffle and see if they have the luck of the Irish.

The team's jersey features the Rampage bull head with a leprechaun hat as the crest. Shamrocks cover the base of the jersey and sleeves while a pot of gold is placed on each shoulder. The jerseys will be auctioned off to the public at the Express-News Headlines in the AT&T Center with the proceeds from the auction benefiting the Spurs Foundation.

The nonprofit 501(c)(3) Spurs Foundation was established to generate goodwill and financial support for economically, emotionally and/or physically disadvantaged youth in South Texas. Since its inception in 1988, the Spurs Foundation has donated $8.5 million in cash and in-kind contributions to deserving South Texas children.

In total, the Rampage have raised more than $30,000 for local charities after three auctions. Specialized jerseys were worn in lieu of Salute to the Badges Night (Jan. 13), Military Appreciation Night (Jan. 20) and Salute to the Rodeo Night (Jan. 27).
