Moose, Power 97 join forces to "Cut for Cancer" in support of Cancer Care Manitoba

Today, the Manitoba Moose and Power 97 announced seven members of the team will have their heads shaved as part of the "Cut For Cancer" to raise money and awareness in support of Pediatric Cancer Treatment Program on Thursday, March 23rd at 12:30 p.m. in the John Labatt Lounge of the MTS Centre.
The following members of the Manitoba Moose have volunteered to have their heads shaved: Mike Keane, Lee Goren, Nathan Smith, Wade Flaherty, Nathan McIver, Ryan Bayda, & Josh Green. Jimmy Roy kicked off campaign this morning, March 17th when his head was shaved live on-air on Power 97 with Wheeler & Hal in the morning.
Prior to the game between the Manitoba Moose and Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday, March 25th, Power 97 along with stylists from City Looks Hair Salon will broadcast live in the atrium of the MTS Centre between 2:00-6:00 p.m. Those who come down to the MTS Centre will be eligible for:
- every person making a donation will automatically receive a ticket to that night's game between the Moose and Milwaukee Admirals
- every person making a donation, regardless of amount, will be automatically entered into a draw to win a pair of tickets to Motley Crue at the MTS Centre on Monday, April 3rd.
- the first 100 shaved heads will receive a free Kokanee, steak, and spud from the Exchange Restaurant at the MTS Centre.
- courtesy of the Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation, anyone can enter into a draw to win a guitar autographed by Nickelback and an autographed hockey stick signed by the members of Our Lady Peace, Danko Jones, Crystal Pistol, Strippers Union, and Floor 13. All proceeds will go towards Cancer Care Manitoba-Pedatrics.
The Moose are also extending an invitation to any business interested in sponsoring one of the above players at a cost of $1,000/player. In return, that business will receive tickets to the game between the Moose and Milwaukee on March 25th, a partial tax receipt, and the opportunity to attend the players' head-shaving ceremony on March 23rd in order to shave the head of their sponsored player.
