On Wednesday, Brad Smyth scored two goals and assisted on three others to lead Hartford to an 8-2 win in Philadelphia... Eric Manlow's goal in the 14th round ended the longest AHL shootout this season and gave Grand Rapids a 3-2 win over Manitoba... Todd Ford made 25 saves for his first career AHL victory, leading Toronto over Hamilton, 5-2... Tomi Maki had a goal and an assist in Omaha's 2-1 win at San Antonio.

LOOKING AHEAD: The top two teams in the West Division square off for the eighth and final time this regular season on Friday at the Bradley Center (7:00 CT)... Houston can clinch a playoff berth with a win (coupled with an Iowa regulation loss at Rochester), while Milwaukee is looking to cut into the Aeros' six-point lead in the race for the division title... Patrick O'Sullivan comes into St. Patrick's Day on a six-game scoring streak (8g, 4a) and with 42 goals on the season, tied for the most by an AHL rookie in the last 15 years... O'Sullivan joins teammates Kirby Law and Erik Westrum as three of the top five scorers in the league... Darren Haydar continues to pace the Admirals with 72 points on the season... After Friday, Milwaukee plays 10 of its final 13 games on the road.
On Mar. 5, Peoria began a stretch of eight games in eight different cities, seven of them away from home... So far, so good as the Rivermen are 5-0-1-0 heading into this weekend's matches in Manchester (Friday, 7:35 ET) and Syracuse (Saturday, 7:30 ET)... Gavin Morgan is on a seven-game scoring tear for Peoria (7g, 5a)... Friday's game marks a bit of a homecoming for Colin Hemingway (UNH), who returned to the Rivermen lineup this week after missing 26 games with a broken finger, head coach Steve Pleau (UNH) and Trevor Byrne (Dartmouth), who all spent their collegiate careers in New Hampshire... Peoria enters the weekend with a mark of 11-2-1-1 in their last 15 road games.
A pair of fourth-place teams meet up on Friday when Bridgeport heads up I-95 to meet Providence (7:05 ET)... Both clubs have comfortable 11-point leads over their nearest pursuers in their respective division races... The Bruins, winners of four in a row entering the weekend, have never lost to the Sound Tigers at home, going 7-0-2 in nine previous attempts... The brother tandem of rookies Jordan Sigalet (34 saves) and Jonathan Sigalet (goal, assist) sparked Providence to a 4-0 win over Hershey on Sunday... Bridgeport begins the weekend with seven of the 20 skaters on its Clear Day list on NHL recall to the N.Y. Islanders... Rob Collins has two goals and six assists in his last four games for the Sound Tigers.
