San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage (34-20-5-1) were shutout for just the fourth time this season, losing to the Lake Erie Monsters (27-24-5-3) 4-0 in front of 7,094 at the AT&T Center on Friday night.
San Antonio outshot Lake Erie 31-30 and was scoreless on two power-play opportunities.
Lake Erie's Ben Street scored with one tick left on the clock in the opening period, and the Monsters took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Ben Youds put the Monsters up 2-0 on the power play late in the middle stanza, taking a cross-crease pass from Andrew Agozzino and putting it past Michael Houser. At the 14:00 mark of the third period, Kenny Ryan punched the puck through the five hole of Houser to make it 3-0. Trevor Cheek's empty-net tally nearly two minutes later sealed a 4-0 win for the Monsters.
Houser finished with 26 saves on 29 shots.
