Coyotes Assign Shinnimin to Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forward Brendan Shinnimin to the Portland Pirates, the club's American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).
The 24-year-old Shinnimin has recorded 0-1-1 and eight penalty minutes (PIM) in 12 games with the Coyotes this season. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound native of Winnipeg, Manitoba has also registered 14-19-33 and a plus-six rating in 48 games with the Pirates.
Shinnimin originally signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on March 2, 2012.
