June 30, 2019 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Salt Lake Bees News Release

The Tacoma Rainiers broke open a close game with a nine run eighth inning, as they roll to a 12-3 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Saturday night.

Tacoma took a 3-2 lead when Kristopher Negron led off the sixth inning with his 11th home run of the season off of Jose Rodriguez (1-2). It stayed a one run difference until the Rainiers put up the nine spot in the eighth with the last four runs coming on an inside the park grand slam by Shed Long, who drove one off of the centerfield wall with the rebound bouncing past Michael Hermosillo. Salt Lake had taken a 2-0 lead in the fourth on a two run single by Roberto Pena, but Tacoma tied it up with two runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Angels pitcher JC Ramirez made his fifth rehab start with Salt Lake and went five innings and allowed just two runs on six hits with four strikeouts and one walk. Pena led the Bees with two hits and two runs batted in, while Ty Kelly added two hits, including his first home run of the season, and one RBI, as the Bees suffer their fifth straight loss.
