From the Notes

Tim Dillard: 35-year-old Tim Dillard starts for the Sounds tonight. The right-hander is 5-6 with a 4.18 ERA in 21 games (10 starts) in 2019. Dillard's ERA ranks 7th-best among qualifying Pacific Coast League pitchers. He last pitched on June 27 in a one-inning relief appearance against Memphis. His last start was June 23 in New Orleans. He went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits. It was his third quality start of the year. Dillard is the Nashville Sounds all-time leader in innings pitched (636.1), wins (44), strikeouts (377), runs allowed (352) and walks (217) and is currently second all-time in games (230) and home runs allowed (51). In his career, Dillard has pitched in 73 big league games and 499 minor league games. He signed a minor-league free agent contract with the Texas Rangers on December 21, 2018.

Granite's Dodger Delight: Outfielder Zack Granite has played in all 4 games Nashville has had against Oklahoma City in 2019. His 3-for-4 performance added to his success against the Dodgers in 2019. He's hitting .667 (12-for-18) with 6 runs scored, 2 doubles, 4 RBI, 2 walks and 1 stolen base in the 4 games.

Make it or Break it for June: Tonight's game is the final tilt in the month of June for Nashville and the team is sitting at .500 with a 13-13 record. The Sounds are looking for their first winning month of the season after going 8-18 in April and 14-15 in May. Carlos Tocci (.326, 28-for-86), Andy Ibáñez (.314, 27-for-86) and Zack Granite (.313, 30-for-96) are the three Nashville regulars who have hit over .300 in June.

Problems at Home: Nashville (13-28) and Oklahoma City (13-26) aren't the only teams in the Pacific Coast League having issues in their home park. Only one team in the PCL - San Antonio - has a record of more than three games over .500 at home (28-13). Eight of the 16 teams in the league are five games below .500 or worse.

Profar's Performance: Infielder Juremi Profar is finding a groove with the Sounds since his promotion from Double-A Frisco. Profar has hit safely in all five games he has played in and is hitting .350 (7-for-20) with 6 runs scored, 2 RBI and 2 walks.

Rolling in Relief: Right-hander Taylor Guerrieri has gone five consecutive appearances without allowing any runs. Since June 15, he is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 5 games. He has covered 9.0 innings and has allowed only 4 hits and 1 walk while racking up 14 strikeouts. PCL opponents are hitting .129 against him during the timeframe.

What's the word around Nashville?

Minor League Promos (@MiLBPromos)

It's always a good idea to dress like the team you're in the stands watching. You never know when they may need an emergency bullpen catcher. They'll pick those already in uniform first That said get to the @nashvillesounds game early for tonight's replica jersey giveaway!

Doug Scopel (@DougScopel)

Much deserved surprise for one of the best people to ever wear a @nashvillesounds uniform. Glad to be a part of this day, @DimTillard
