Jankins in June: Tonight's starter, Thomas Jankins, is 4-0 with a 3.14 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in the month of June. His four wins in June are tied for the PCL lead alongside Hector Noesi from New Orleans and Tyler Alexander from Las Vegas. His 3.14 ERA in June is good for third in the PCL and his 1.36 WHIP is eighth. He is seeking to become just the second Missions pitcher since 2005 to collect five wins in a single month. Over that stretch, Williams has pitched 13.0 innings, allowed six hits, walked three, and struck out 12. The Missions have won seven of the last ten games that Williams has appeared in.
Grisham's Hot Start: Since making his Triple-A debut on June 20, Missions oufielder Trent Grisham has been one of the most productive hitters for San Antonio. Grisham leads the Missions with four home runs and 24 total bases over that stretch. His .313 batting average is good for fourth best on the team since June 20. He has three multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games since being transferred to the Missions.
