Rain Cancels RiverDogs-Legends Game
Published on July 10, 2008 under South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Charleston RiverDogs News Release
A torrential downpour in the Lowcountry has cancelled the regularly scheduled Charleston RiverDogs - Lexington Legends South Atlantic League game Thursday night at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. The game will not be rescheduled because the teams do not play each other again this season.
Fans with tickets for Thursday's contest may exchange them for any future 2008 RiverDogs home game, based on availability. For more information call the RiverDogs at (843) 577-DOGS or stop by the Riley Park box office.
Charleston, which defeated last-place Lexington 5-4 on Wednesday afternoon, wins the shortened three-game series 2-games-to-1.
The RiverDogs continue the homestand Friday night and welcome Northern Division rival West Virginia Power for a four-game set that begins at 7:05 p.m. Charleston will send righty Jairo Heredia (4-2, 2.66 ERA), the reigning SAL Pitcher of the Week, to the mound. First-place West Virginia is expected to go with All-Star righty Amaury Rivas (6-3, 3.69 ERA).
