Moosic, PA - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders walked-off the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs 6-5 on a beautiful Friday night. Franchy Cordero smoked an RBI single to right field in the bottom of the ninth inning for the victory. It was their second walk-off win of the week.

The Iron Pigs got on the board early with a two-run home run from Dustin Peterson in the first.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre came ready to bat in the second inning. Andres Chaparro led off with a single and Cordero walked to reach. Carlos Narvaez poked an infield single and an error allowed Chaparro to score. Jake Lamb followed up with an RBI base hit of his own. Wilmer Difo knocked in the go-ahead run for a 3-2 lead. Estevan Florial reached on an error and raced home on the Iron Pigs third error of the inning. Jasson Dominguez also had a run scoring single of his own for a 5-2 advantage.

Lehigh Valley was there to tie things up in the fifth. Peterson had his second two-run long ball of the contest to get within one. Then Darick Hall followed with back-to-back homers to make things five apiece.

The tied ball game went into the bottom of the ninth inning. Florial and Wells each drew a walk and Chaparro was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Cordero laced a line drive into right to bring Florial home for a walk-off victory 6-5.

Edgar Barclay got the start allowing five runs, four earned, in four plus innings of work. The lefty walked six and struck out two. Zach Greene, Aaron McGarity and Matt Bowman each had scoreless outings. Greg Weissert (W, 5-3) slammed the door shut in the ninth.

Tyler Phillips allowed five runs, two earned, in an inning and two thirds. The Iron Pigs had five different relievers make scoreless appearances. Tyler McKay allowed the winning run to cross in the bottom of the ninth.

The RailRiders and Iron Pigs are set to play a doubleheader on Saturday with the first pitch at 3:35 PM. Righties Will Warren and Randy Vasquez are set to start each game respectively.
