Winnipeg extended their lead in the bottom of the fifth, taking advantage of a pair of RailCat throwing errors. With runners on first and second, Josh Mazzola pounded his seventh homer of the year. That swing made it 7-1 Goldeyes.

The RailCats knocked Mark Hardy out of the game in the top of the sixth inning. Rya Babineau walked to begin the inning and moved to second on Craig Maddox's single. Brian Kolb than doubled into the alley in right-center to score both. Kolb later scored on Zac Mitchell's groundout to make it 7-4.
