Grand Prairie AirHogs News Release

El Paso- Having a four-run lead in the bottom of the fourth was not enough for the AirHogs when the El Paso Diablos scored six runs and took the win 6-5 Monday night at Cohen Stadium. The AirHogs could not capitalize and take game three from the Diablos despite an effort from Frazier Hall and Rian Kiniry. Hall went 2-for-4 including a triple in the second inning that batted in Juan Ricahrdson and Kenny Held. He also would later score in the second inning on Kiniry's single. That was Kiniry's first hit of two on the night as he went 2-for-4. In the fourth inning Kiniry doubled and was driven in by Ryan Pineda's double in the same inning. The AirHogs scored one more in the fifth but it wasn't enough as the Diablos scored six in the fourth inning.

Jared Mortensen picks up the loss in Monday's game. Through seven innings Mortensen gave up six runs with only two of them earned. The AirHogs had five errors over Monday night's game to give up the other four unearned runs. Mortensen struck out five batters. Patrick Mincey went in the game in the eighth. He gave up only one hit but no runs.

The Grand Prairie AirHogs and the El Paso Diablos will finish up the four-game series Tuesday night at Cohen Stadium. The first pitch is set to take place at 7:05 P.M.
