Sioux City 4, Fargo-Moorhead 3

The Sioux City Explorers came from behind in the ninth inning to claim a 4-3 victory over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. After scoring in the first inning, the Explorers were held scoreless until the ninth inning and trailed 3-1. RedHawks CF Nic Jackson and 1B Keith Brachold had knocked in three runs (two and one respectively) to give Fargo-Moorhead the lead.

In the top of the ninth, 1B Luke Murton, CF Yusuke Inoguchi and C Adrian Martinez each registered RBI as a part of a three-run rally that claimed the lead. Martinez, who was 2-for-4 brought home what would prove to be the game-winning run with a two-out double. Reliever Jon Plefka picked up the win and closer Chris Bodishbaugh earned the save.

Wichita 11, Amarillo 4

The Wichita Wingnuts had the bats hot early and rolled to an 11-4 win against the visiting Amarillo Sox. CF Brent Clevlen hit his eighth homerun of the season in the first inning to give the Wingnuts a quick 3-0 lead. Clevlen ended the night with a team-high four RBI. DH John Rodriguez followed suit in the second inning with a three-run shot of his own.

1B C.J. Ziegler also homered in the game and was 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. For the Sox, 3B Brandon Jones had a team-high two hits and scored a run. The Wingnuts' pitching staff limited the Sox to just four hits in the game and starter Junior Guerra was credited as the winner.

Kansas City 5, St. Paul 2

Powered by a 3-for-5, three RBI performance by 1B Kyle Nichols, the Kansas City T-Bones beat the St. Paul Saints 5-2. Nichols capped off a third inning rally with an RBI single that scored SS Devin Goodwin. He went on to single in runs in the fifth and seventh innings to help keep the Saints at bay.

Goodwin and 3B Matt Padgett added the team's only other RBI and Padgett was 2-for-3 with a run scored. For the Saints, C Dwight Childs had a team-high three hits. Starter Dustin Loggins was tabbed as the winner as he gave up just two runs on seven hits over seven innings of work. He also struck out five batters.

El Paso 6, Grand Prairie 5

One inning of offense was all the El Paso Diablos needed to handle the Grand Prairie AirHogs 6-5. The AirHogs held an early 4-0 lead but that quickly disappeared in the fourth inning. DH Jose Garcia brought 3B Devin Thaut home and scored himself when the AirHogs misplayed his shot to right field. Two batters later LF Brian Joynt doubled in a run and then C Jonathan Cisneros was hit by a pitch.

Later in the inning both Joynt and Cisneros scored on a single by 2B Miguel Chacoa single. Before the final out of the inning, CF Oscar Mesa took home as a part of a double steal to post six runs in the inning. As a team, the Diablos had just five hits and no player had more than one but it was just enough for the win.

Gary SouthShore 7, Winnipeg 2

The Gary SouthShore RailCats never trailed as they took down the Winnipeg Goldeyes 7-2. Gary SouthShore took the lead in the first inning when C Ryan Babineau scored LF Adam Klein on a sacrifice fly. Klein was one of four RailCats to have a multi-hit game.

RF Mike Massaro, DH Christian Guerrero (who scored three runs) and 1B Christian Vitters (who had two RBI) all had two hits in the game. For the Goldeyes, RF Fehlandt Lentini had the lone RBI when he homered in the second inning.

Lincoln 6, Sioux Falls 2

The Lincoln Saltdogs kept the Sioux Falls Canaries off the scoreboard for the first eight innings as they worked their way to a 6-2 win Monday night. Lincoln took the lead in the first inning when 2B David Espinosa doubled in CF Dan Carroll. In the next at bat, LF Matt Forgatch hit his third homerun of the season, a three-run shot, and put Lincoln on top 4-0.

The Saltdogs didn't score again until the ninth inning and neither did the Canaries. In the top of the ninth C Sean O'Connell doubled in both RF Jon Gaston and 1B Brian Embery. In the bottom of the inning, the Canaries loaded up the bases but pulled in only two runs, one on an error. Starting pitcher Stephen Bouger was credited as the winner for throwing five scoreless innings.

Laredo 6, Newark 3 (In Progress -- 8th Inning)

The Laredo Lemurs are leading the Newark Bears of the Can-Am League 6-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning.
