Montgomery Biscuits News Release
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Austin Pruitt (10-5) became the third Biscuits (70-56/36-22) starter of the series to bedazzle the Jackson Generals (46-79/17-40), shutting down the Southern League's worst club 3-0 on Tuesday night at Riverwalk.
Pruitt, who allowed just two hits-both in the first inning-all game, was outstanding going eight shutout innings while fanning the same number in the victory.
Dylan Unsworth (2-7) was solid on the other side, allowing just three runs on a pair of sac flies and a wild pitch, but one run was all Montgomery would need tonight, as the Generals failed to score for the second game this series. Jackson has scored in just one inning this series.
The Biscuits will look to make it four in a row over the Generals on Wednesday when Taylor Guerrieri (2-1) does battle with James Gilheeney (4-5) at 7:05 PM.
