Shuckers Shutout BayBears 9-0 on Tuesday Night

BILOXI, MS - For just the fifth time this season, the Mobile BayBears (30-26, 64-61) were shutout in a contest. The Biloxi Shuckers (30-27, 73-52) blanked Mobile 9-0 on Tuesday night at MGM Park. Despite the offensive struggles and rough night on the mound for the BayBears, Mobile remains just one game back of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos for first place in the Southern League South Division Standings.

Biloxi scored a run in the bottom of the first inning with a two-out base hit from Josh Fellhauer for a 1-0 Shuckers. Fellhauer paced the Biloxi bats Tuesday night going 2-for-2 with 3 RBI.

The Shuckers extended their lead with four runs in the bottom of the fifth, three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and a final loan run in the bottom of the eight inning.

Shuckers' RHP Adrian Houser (3-0) kept the BayBears off the scoreboard allowing just two hits in the game, walking two and strikeout on three in seven full innings.

The BayBears failed to put a runner in scoring position in a game for just the first time this season.

Mobile and Biloxi continue their five game set with game four scheduled for Wednesday night at MGM Park beginning at 6:40 PM cst.

The BayBears return home Friday, August 28 to open up their final five home games of the 2015 regular season against the Montgomery Biscuits. Friday night is also "Friday Night Fireworks" at Hank Aaron stadium.
