Prince Albert ends four-game skid with win in Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat, AB - Simon Stransky set-up three goals to help the Prince Albert Raiders to a 5-3 victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday night at the Canalta Centre.

Stransky's three-point night led the Raiders, who also got two-point performances from Luke Coleman (2a), Reid Gardiner (1g-1a), Jesse Lees (2a), and Tim Vanstone (1g-1a). Brendan Guhle, Loch Morrison, and Kolten Olynek registered goals in the win.

The Tigers received two-point efforts from Steven Owre (1g-1a), David Quenneville (1g-1a), and Mason Shaw (1g-1a).

Prince Albert goaltender Ian Scott turned away 31 of 34 shots on goal, while Medicine Hat got 37 saves on 41 attempts from Nick Schneider.

The Raiders outshot the Tigers 42-34. Prince Albert went 1-for-3 on the power play, while Medicine Hat was 2-for-2.

The Raiders end a four-game losing streak to improve to 27-17-4-1 on the year, while the Tigers drop to 20-26-3-1.

The Raiders play the final game of their three-game road trip on Sunday evening when they take on the Swift Current Broncos.
