Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants won their second game in as many nights, beating the WHL leading Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-2 on Saturday night at the Pacific Coliseum. The G-Men got their goals from Trevor Cox, Alec Baer, Chase Lang and Brennan Menell.

Despite an excellent start from the G-Men, it was the Hurricanes who struck first when Cory Millette tipped home his 21st goal of the season, giving Lethbridge the 1-0 lead going into the second period.

The Hurricanes doubled their lead in the middle frame when Millette potted his second of the game just seconds after Taylor Crunk missed a shorthanded breakaway. Cox put the Giants on the board in the final three minutes of the stanza, scoring on a power play with a shot from along the goal line, and Baer evened the score, taking a feed from Brennan Menell and beating Hurricanes goalie Jayden Sittler from the slot.

Lang gave the Giants their first lead of the game midway through the third period as he jammed home his 19th of the season and team leading 50th point of the year. Menell added an empty netter in the final minute to go along with his two assists. Ryan Kubic stopped 14 of 16 Lethbridge shots for the win.

The Giants will be back in action at the Rink on Renfrew on Wednesday, February 3rd, when they host the Spokane Chiefs. Puck drop is set for 7:00pm. For tickets, go to TicketLeader.ca or call 604.4.GIANTS (604.444.2687).
