Pride drop 3-2 decision to Gwinnett

FLORENCE, SC -- The Pee Dee Pride dropped a 3-2 decision to the Gwinnett Gladiators on Sunday afternoon in front ot 1,804 fans at the Florence Civic Center.

Gwinnett's Mike Vigilante tallied a pair of first-period goals just over three minutes apart to stake the Gladiators to a 2-0 lead through 20 minuts.

The Gladiators added to their lead 12:49 into the second period as Kevin Doell redicrected a Vigilante shot past Pride goaltender Nick Boucher on the far post.

Pee Dee got on the scoreboard at the 15:54 mark of the second on Gregg Johnson's team-leading 26th goal of the season.

Allan Sirois pulled the Pride within one, notching a shorthanded goal 3:08 into the third period. The goal was Sirois' 20th of the season.
