Bombers Drop Close Game To Toledo On Fan Appreciation Day

Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers dropped a 3-2 decision the Toledo Storm in front of 4,290 on Fan Appreciation Day at the Ervin J. Nutter Center Sunday afternoon. Aaron Foster scored both Dayton goals in the losing effort.

The only goal in the first period gave Dayton a 1-0 lead when AARON FOSTER beat Storm goaltender Scott Fankhouser at 11:18.

Toledo tied the game, 1-1, when Nick Parillo notched his 16th goal of the season at 1:16 of the second period. Foster's second goal of the game gave Dayton a 2-1 lead at 7:40. But Robert Snowball tied the game at 10:01, and it was 2-2 after 40 minutes.

The only goal in the third period was scored by Scooter Smith at 8:58, and it proved to be the game-winner as the Storm posted the 3-2 win and moved three points ahead of Peoria for the fourth and final playoff spot in the North Division.
