FLORENCE, SC -- The Florence Pride won their second consecutive game Saturday night, defeating the Greenville Grrrowl 4-2 in front of 3,417 at the Florence Civic Center.

Matt Reid put the Pride on the board first, ripping a blast past Michel Robinson on a power play 15:02 into the opening period.

Greenville tied the game with just 11.8 seconds left in the first period as Bryan LaChapelle gathered in a perfect cross-ice pass and put a shot past Matt Underhill.

Reid put the Pride back on top 7:15 into the second, tipping home a great feed from Luke Earl.

Shaun Sutter gave the Pride a two-goal cushion just 2:25 later, beating Robinson with a shot from the left-wing circle.

The Grrrowl climbed back within one at the 9:24 mark of the third when Mike Henderson scored on a two-man advantage.

But, Wes Goldie put the final nail in the Grrrowl coffin as he stuffed a rebound past Robinson with 2:47 remaining for his 23rd goal of the season.

Florence outshot Greenville 44-19 for the game, and both teams went 1-for-6 on the power play.

The Pride begin a five-game Central Division road trip Tuesday night in Biloxi against the Mississippi SeaWolves at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Palmetto Chiropractic Pre-Game Show on WDAR Sunny 105.5 starts at 7:10.
