Playoff Picture
The Grizzlies currently sit five points above Alaska for the fourth playoff spot in the Pacific Division. Their magic number for clinching their ninth playoff berth in the last ten seasons is 16. The number will decrease by two following every Utah win and each Alaska loss.
Playoff Preview
If the playoffs started today, this weekend's matchup at Maverik Center would be a first round series between Utah and Idaho.
New Acquisition
Brenden Walker leads Utah in scoring since being acquired from Gwinnett on March 9. He has five goals and four assists with Utah in five games after his hat trick Friday in his Maverik Center debut and his five-point night of two goals and three assists in his Grizzlies debut March 13 in Bakersfield.
Second Newest Acquisition
Ryan Hayes leads Utah with 16 goals since being acquired on January 15. Utah is 11-0-1-1 when Hayes scores a goal. He is second on the team behind Mathieu Aubin with 24 points in 27 games since being acquired.
Bobkov
Igor Bobkov stopped 61 of 63 shots last weekend against Bakersfield and only allowed two power-play goals. Utah has gone seven-straight periods without allowing a five-on-five goal. Bobkov is 12-3 at Maverik Center this year and 19-4-1-1 in his last 25 Maverik Center starts dating back to last season.
Krushelnyski Update
Grizzlies rookie all-star forward Alex Krushelnyski enters the week having scored in 11 of his last 13 games and with 13 goals and 34 assists for 47 points in 56 games. He enters the week seventh in the ECHL in rookie scoring.
Shots
The Grizzlies had 36 shots Friday in the 3-1 win against Bakersfield and 40 shots Saturday in the 5-1 win. Friday, 15 of 16 skaters recorded at least one shot on goal and Saturday 14 of 16 skaters had at least one shot on goal. 40 shots Friday was the third most this year, 76 in two games is the highest back-to-back total this year.
Almost Back To Back Hat Tricks
H.T. Lenz and Ryan Hayes each had two goals Saturday after Brenden Walker had a hat trick Friday night.
Good Starts Continue
Utah has outscored the opposition 16-5 in the first period in their last 14 games and has improved to 19-2-4-1 when leading after one period, including 10-1-1-1 at home. They are 14-2-1-1 at home and 24-5-4-2 when scoring first in a game.
Where To Eat?

Shula's is located inside Embassy Suites on 3500 South across from Valley Fair Mall.
