
PrairieThunder Remains Undefeated Following 2-1 Overtime Win on Saturdfay

Jason Christie's Bloomington PrairieThunder remains undefeated in the Central Hockey League following Saturday night's exciting 2-1 overtime victory at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum against the Tulsa Oilers. After two weekends of play, the PrairieThunder is 3-0 and in first place in the CHL's Turner Conference.
Tulsa took a 1-0 lead into the third period on a first period goal from Jack Combs. The PrairieThunder tied the game at the 6:30 mark of the third period as Jason Dale scored on the powerplay. And in overtime, veteran John Snowden scored the game winner just fifty-eight seconds into the extra period. Goaltender Marco Emond had another strong night between the pipes stopping 37 of 38 Tulsa Oilers shots on goal.
The PThunder continue at home next weekend with games Friday and Saturday night at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Next Friday night, October 29th, the Evansville Icemen make their first Bloomington visit and next Saturday, October 30th, the Dayton Gems are the opposition. Game time each night is 7:05pm.
