PrairieThunder Defeats Quad City 3-2 on Monday Night

The Bloomington PrairieThunder staked the Quad City Mallards to a 1-0 lead before storming back on three powerplay goals to defeat Quad City 3-2 on Monday Night at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Alan Mazur, Bill Bagron, and Ryan McLeod tallied for the PThunder. McLeod's goal at 17:55 of the second period was the game winner. Bloomington goaltender Brad Phillips, playing his third game in a row, won his second straight stopping 31 of 33 Mallards shots.

With the victory, Bloomington moves back into third place in the CHL's Turner Conference with a record of 28-16-4. Quad City moves to fifth place at 28-23-1.

Bloomington now heads on the road for four games this week, starting Tuesday night in Dayton (which is the make-up game from February 2nd). Game time is 6:00pm central time and the game can be heard on WEZC-FM (95.9), WJBC.com, or you can watch the game at BlueLine Nightclub, located at 602 N. Main Street in downtown Bloomington.

The PrairieThunder's next home game is Friday, March 4th @ 7:05pm vs. Fort Wayne at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
