Hogeboom Snags 'Player of the Week' Honors

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 21)- It was an offensive ‚¬Ëœboom ‚¬â„¢ for Brahmas forward Greg Hogeboom this past week earning him the Central Hockey League ‚¬â„¢s "Oakley ‚¬â„¢s CHL Player of the Week" honors. Hogeboom racked up 10 points in three games.

Last Tuesday, Hogeboom recorded a pair of assists and finished a +2 in the 4-2 victory over the Laredo Bucks. Over the weekend the Etobicoke, ONT native earned first star honors twice with his strong play beginning Friday where recorded four points (2 G, 2 A) in the 5-1 win against Odessa. On Saturday the Brahmas defeated Allen 5-4 and Hogeboom accounted for a pair of goals and assists (2 G, 2 A); including the game winning goal.

Hogeboom is currently riding a five game point streak with 14 points (7 G, 7 A) and is averaging just over a point a game for the season with 62 points (25 G, 37 A) in 46 games.

Texas hosts the Wichita Thunder tonight with a special "President ‚¬â„¢s Day" time; 6 pm. Tickets are still available for purchase at www.brahmas.com or (817) 336-4423.

The Brahmas have a tough stretch to come with five games in seven nights beginning on the road Wednesday in Wichita (7:05 pm) and then to Allen Friday evening (7:30 pm). On Saturday, Texas visits the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs ((7:05) before finally returning home Sunday afternoon to take on Bloomington for the first time this season (4 pm).
