
Power Set to Induct Third Wall of Fame Class This Friday

Charleston Dirty Birds News Release
(Charleston, WV) -¬ This Friday night, August 21, 2009, the West Virginia Power will induct Calvin Bailey, Ryan Braun, Art Howe, Tommy John, Tony LaRussa, Jim Lett and Kent Tekulve to the Michael C. Paterno Charleston Baseball Wall of Fame. The induction will take place prior to the first pitch at approximately 6:30 PM.
In 2007 the Power introduced the Charleston Baseball Wall of Fame as a way to recognize and honor all those who have impacted Charleston Baseball on the field, in the stands, and behind the scenes. The inaugural class included Jim Bunning, Assistant Mayor of Charleston and "Toastman" Rod Blackstone, Souvenir Salesman Wheeler Bob, Trevor Hoffman, Dave Parker and Willie Randolph. The 2008 induction class included Dave Augustine, Don Cook, John Dickensheets, Joe Nuxhall, and Michael C. Paterno.
