Manzanillo: Allowed 1 R on 3 H with 5 K and 1 BB over 6.0 IP in 6/21 Win @ HAG (5-3 BlueClaws)

POWER REPLAY: West Virginia lost 6-4 on Monday night in the series opener at Lakewood. The Power took a 1-0 lead in the second on an RBI-double by Francisco Aponte, but the BlueClaws answered with a two-run second and a run in the third for a 3-1 advantage. West Virginia scored three in the top of the fifth, including two on Ashley Ponce's first South Atlantic League hit for a 4-3 lead. Lakewood tagged Robbie Kilcrease with a blown save and a loss by scoring three in the sixth inning to seal the game. Eight different Power players had at least one base hit on Monday in the loss.

EIGHT STRAIGHT: Jose Osuna has hit safely in his last eight games dating back to June 15. The first baseman is batting .303 with 10 hits over his last 33 at bats. This is his fourth hitting streak of six or more games this season.

SIX SHOOTERS: Eric Avila and Alen Hanson each are riding six game hitting streaks into tonight's game. Avila is hitting at a .500 clip over his last six with 10 hits in 20 at bats. Hanson is batting .409 during his last six and in on his fourth hitting streak of six games or more this season.

JAMO TO THE FUTURE(S): Former Power pitcher Jameson Tallion was selected to participate in the 2012 Futures Game during the Major League Baseball All-Star festivities in Kansas City on July 8. Tallion went 2-3 with a 3.98 ERA for West Virginia last year and is 4-6 with a 4.10 ERA for Bradenton this season. He will be joined on the U.S. roster by fellow Pirates Prospect Gerrit Cole.

ORGANIZATIONAL TREND: West Virginia pitchers have hit 76 battersthis season and lead all full season teams in the category regardless of level. The Bradenton Marauders (46) and Altoona Curve (41) also lead their respective leagues in hit batters.

NINE DAYS AWAY: West Virginia continues its' longest road trip of the season tonight at Lakewood. The club will play three more games against the BlueClaws before traveling to Salisbury, MD, for a five game series against the Delmarva Shorebirds. 41 percent of West Virginia's second half schedule will be played against the BlueClaws and Shorebirds.

FIRST TIME AT FIRSTENERGY: The Power continue their first trip to FirstEnergy Park this evening at 7:05 pm. West Virginia trails the all-time series 53-44 and have gone 18-22 on the road in the matchup since 2005. Of the 15 games remaining this season between West Virginia and Lakewood, six will be played in New Jersey. The BlueClaws will be in Charleston for a five game series starting on July 4.

PROMO UPDATE- JULY 4: West Virginia's next BIG 12 promotional night is July 4 at 7:05 pm against Lakewood. The team will host appearances by Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants, and Foofa from Yo Gabba Gabba. The evening will end with a post game fireworks show.

POWER POINTS: Alen Hanson had eight triples to lead the South Atlantic League in the first half and added one during the opening series of the second schedule. In 2011, Andy Vasquez set a new Charleston baseball SAL record with 13 three-base hits, including five by the All-Star break last year. With one more triple, Hanson will match four players for second most all-time in Charleston's 26-year SAL history dating back to 1987.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh lost 8-3 at Philadelphia... Indianapolis slipped past Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre 9-8... Altoona beat Akron 13-8... Bradenton swept a doubleheader with Dunedin, winning 3-1 and 6-2... State College beat Batavia 7-4 and is now 6-2 this season.
