TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

RH Jay Rogers (4-4, 2.60) vs. RH Zack Von Rosenberg (3-5, 6.75)

Rogers: Allowed 3 R on 7 H with 1 K and 1 BB over 5.0 IP in 6/26 Win vs. HAG (8-4 Hoppers)

Von Rosenberg: Surrendered 7 R on 10 H with 3 K and 0 BB over 5.0 IP in 6/25 Loss @ HIC

POWER REPLAY: West Virginia rallied to beat Lexington 5-4 in 14 innings on Thursday. The Legends had a 3-1 lead after two and a half innings, but Mel Rojas Jr. hit a two-run home run in the third to even the score. The Legends regained control in the eighth by a run, but Rogelio Noris hit a two-out homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game. In the 14th, Dan Grovatt singled with the bases loaded to give the Power its second walk-off win of the series.

ADDING TO THE FUN: Three of the four games during the with Lexington went to extra innings, and each games was decided by one run. The Power and Legends will open a three game series in Lexington on Monday at Whitaker Bank Park.

SADLER TO DL: Casey Sadler was placed on the disabled list earlier today with minor shoulder discomfort. The right-hander is 3-4 this season with a 3.41 ERA over 19 appearances. The Pittsburgh Pirates have transferred Jhonathan Ramos from the Bradenton Marauders roster to give the Power bullpen some pitching depth after Thursday's 14 inning game. Ramos was 0-3 with Bradenton this season and had a 2.87 ERA. The southpaw was on the Power roster for nine games in 2010, going 1-1 with a 6.63 earned run average.

HOME RUN HISTORY: Rogelio Noris now has 22 career home runs for West Virginia over a season and a half in a Power jersey. Noris has matched Kenny Holmberg's two-year total for second most in club history. Stephen Chapman hit 24 home runs in a Power uniform in 2007, the most in any season for West Virginia, and also the most in any players Power career.

RAMIFICATIONS: Four Power players will serve three-game suspensions as a result of Monday evening's eighth inning altercation, though the suspensions were staggered as to not entirely deplete the club of players at one time. Elias Diaz and Andy Vasquez completed their suspensions last night and are eligible to play over the weekend while Drew Maggi will begin his today and Brooks Pounders will start tomorrow.

HERE COME THE HOPPERS: West Virginia and Greensboro continue their rivalry tonight at Appalachian Power Park. The Power and Grasshoppers will have met 19 times by the end of the season, with 11 of the games to be played in Charleston. West Virginia holds the all-time edge in the series with 52 wins over 83 games, including a 25-18 advantage on the road

FLASHBACK: West Virginia finished the first half of the 2011 regular season with a winning record. In 2009 during the first year as a Pirates affiliate, the Power were 27-43 at the All-Star break with a team batting average of .254 and held a staff earned run average 4.66. At the break during the 2010 season, the club was 31-39 with a .235 average and a 4.28 ERA. West Virginia hit .258 as a team during the first half of this season and had a staff ERA of 3.68.

POWER POINTS: Mel Rojas Jr. drove in two runs last night, marking only the second time this season the centerfielder has had multi[ple runs batted in during a game... Thursday's 14 inning game was the eighth longest in Power history (innings-wise)... West Virginia will wear camouflage jerseys during this series and will be one of 90 minor league teams donning a stars and stripes cap.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh beat Toronto 6-2 and will play at Washington tonight... Indianapolis shutout Syracuse 3-0... Altoona lost 8-6 at Trenton... Bradenton lost 9-3 to Palm Beach... State College fell 7-3 against Mahoning Valley.
