Shorebirds Hosting All-Star Game Jersey Auction

Salisbury, Md. - The Delmarva Shorebirds, class "A" affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, are now hosting an online jersey and memorabilia auction with autographed items from the 2011 South Atlantic League All-Star Game, held at Perdue Stadium on June 21. The auction will run through Monday, July 18 at 6:00 p.m. To access the online auction, click here .

The auction features autographed game worn jerseys from both the Northern Division and Southern Division players and coaches. The jerseys of top prospects Bryce Harper and Manny Machado are included in the auction. Each participant, both players and coaches, has an autographed jersey in the auction.

The auction also includes a signed Earl Weaver Southern Division batting practice #4 jersey. The legendary Orioles manager was an honorary coach at the game.

In addition, the Shorebirds are auctioning off two official Minor League Baseball bases, one signed by all the members of the Northern Division All-Stars and the other autographed by all the participants from the Southern Division. The bases were costumed designed with the words "2011 All-Star Game" on two sides and the Shorebirds primary logo on the other two sides of the base.

"There are some great collectible pieces in this auction that fans and collectors will love," said general manager Chris Bitters. "How neat would it be to have the South Atlantic League All-Star jersey of a future major leaguer -
