Bridgeport Islanders News Release

The New York Islanders announced Monday that they have recalled goaltender Kevin Poulin and defensemen Dylan Reese and Ty Wishart from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

Poulin and Reese return to the Islanders after spending two games with the Sound Tigers during the NHL All-Star Break. Poulin made one appearance in net, making 45 saves in a 3-2 loss at Worcester on Friday, Jan. 28. Reese appeared in both of the Sound Tigers games this past weekend, notching a goal in Friday's game at Worcester.

Wishart, 22, earns his first call-up to the Islanders. The Comox, B.C. native was acquired via trade from the Tampa Bay Lightning organization on Jan. 1 and has played in 12 games with the Sound Tigers where he's recorded five assists. This marks Wishart's second NHL recall after playing five games with Tampa Bay during the 2008-09 season.
