Traverse City Pit Spitters News Release

Traverse City, MI - Fans attending the Pit Spitters game Monday night better be hungry for more than baseball because it's Dime Dog Night at Pit Spitters Park. That's right-hot dogs are just 10 cents!

It's the team's first of two dime hot dog nights this year.

On July 4, 2018, competitive eater Joey Chestnut set a world record by eating 74 hot dogs in 10 minutes. On Monday, we're not expecting anyone to break that record, but fans are open to try.

"We pride ourselves on providing affordable family fun, and great promotions," Pit Spitters Food and Beverage Director Tyler Glynn said. "These Dime Dog nights are part of the entertainment we're bringing to Northern Michigan and we're excited to see how many Pit Spitters fan can eat."

The game is at 7:00 pm, and gates open-and hot dogs go on sale-at 6:00 pm.

The Pit Spitters homestand continues today and runs through Wednesday night. Individual tickets, season and group tickets are on sale and can be purchased in advance by calling (231) 943-0100. Complete ticket information including season tickets, group prices and perks is available at www.pitspitters.com.
