
Green Bay Quiets Woodchucks Bats Following Wisconsin's Loud Win in Madison

WAUSAU, WI - After accumulating 16 hits and scoring 11 runs in Madison yesterday, the Wisconsin Woodchucks fell flat against the Green Bay Booyah. The Booyah beat the Woodchucks by a final score of 7-0.
The Woodchucks did not reach base until the sixth inning. Green Bay's starting pitcher, Tanner Lane, was perfect through five innings. Woodchucks first baseman Santino Miozzi broke-up the perfect game in the sixth inning with a single. Second baseman Alejandro Gonzalez added in another single for the Woodchucks in the sixth inning. Center fielder Kenny Rodriguez later walked to load the bases for the Chucks. The opportunity to score was missed after third baseman Kaeber Rog struck out.
Those two sixth inning hits turned out to be two of the three that the Woodchucks would have. Green Bay's starting pitcher, Tanner Lane, finished with six innings of work. He allowed zero runs on two hits. Lane walked one and struck out seven.
Nate Madej started on the mound for the Woodchucks. He pitched five innings and allowed six runs on five hits. Madej walked three and struck out five. The Woodchucks then used three pitchers in relief, those being Nolan Lebamoff, Reed Osborn, and Jared Pettitte. Lebamoff pitched two perfect innings in the sixth and seventh. He struck out one and allowed zero baserunners. Reed Osborn pitched 0.2 innings and allowed one run on one hit. He walked three and struck out two. Jared Pettite got the final out of the bottom of the eighth inning.
Green Bay scored two runs in the fourth inning, four runs in the sixth inning, and one run in the eighth inning. Jacob Buchberger was the leading hitter for the Booyah. He went 2-4 with one RBI and one run.
The Wisconsin Woodchucks will play the Green Bay Booyah tomorrow. This time, the matchup will take place in Wausau at Athletic Park. First pitch will be thrown at 6:35 PM and gates will open one hour before.

Relief pitcher Nolan Lebamoff tossed two perfect innings in the sixth and seventh. He struck out one and allowed zero baserunners.
Santino Miozzi has gotten off to a nice start with the Woodchucks. He had the Woodchucks' first hit tonight with a single in the sixth inning to break up Green Bay's perfect game. Miozzi now has eight hits in seven games with the Woodchucks.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks will return home tomorrow and play five of their next seven games at Athletic Park. The Woodchucks start their homestand tomorrow on Monday, June 17th for a 6:35 PM game against the Green Bay Booyah. The Woodchucks will be hosting "Say Cheese Selfie Night!"
