Pinto, Wiles Lead Durham To 10-3 Win Over Nashville

Durham, NC - Rene Pinto hit a grand slam and drove in five, while his batterymate Nathan Wiles worked 5 2/3 innings en route to his third straight win as Durham beat Nashville 10-3 on Saturday night before 8,947 fans at the DBAP.
Pinto connected against Nashville's Nick Bennett (L, 1-3) in the first inning to give Durham (15-23) a 5-0 lead. Pinto later delivered a sac fly in the fifth.
Wiles (W, 4-2) carried a three-hit shutout into the sixth inning, ultimately allowing three runs (two earned) in the sixth. Carlos Garcia tossed two hitless innings before Enmanuel Mejia closed out the victory in the ninth.
Curtis Mead and Kameron Misner each had three hits.
The Bulls conclude their six-game homestand Sunday at 1:05 PM ET against Nashville with Mason Montgomery (0-5, 7.84) expected to start for Durham against Nashville's Taylor Clarke on a major league rehab for Milwaukee.
