Pigs Try to Bounce Back against Bisons

After splitting a doubleheader on Tuesday, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Buffalo Bisons will play the third game of a four-game set on Wednesday night. First pitch from Coca-Cola Park is set for 7:05 p.m.

LHP Adam Morgan (0-6, 4.61) will be on the bump for the Pigs. Last time out, Morgan scattered six hits over six shutout innings at Norfolk on Friday but received a no-decision for his efforts. The southpaw took the loss against the Bisons back on April 17 at Coca-Cola Field when he allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits while walking one and fanning two over five innings of work.

LHP Randy Wolf (5-1, 2.70) gets the ball for manager Gary Allenson's squad on Wednesday. Wolf got the win in his last start on Thursday vs. Charlotte after surrendering three runs on four hits to go along with two walks and six strikeouts in 7.0 IP. The West Hills, Calif. native is 2-1 with a 5.26 ERA over his last 5 GS. On April 17 in Buffalo, Wolf earned the win against the IronPigs as he tossed five innings and allowed a run on seven hits while walking three and fanning three.

With a save on Tuesday night, Pigs LHP Jake Diekman notched his 21st career save with Lehigh Valley which ranks third all-time in franchise history. In 6 G with manager Dave Brundage's squad this season, Diekman has picked up three saves while tossing seven scoreless innings and has allowed five hits to go along with a walk and seven strikeouts.

The first 2,000 fans 17 and under on Wednesday night will receive an IronPigs soccer ball. It is also Ladies Night presented by Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays and women can win prizes from various Ladies Night sponsors.
