Today's Games

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the third game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Park (7:05 p.m.). The teams split a doubleheader last night with each club winning a game, 3-1. The Bisons have won four of their last six games.

vs. the IronPigs

The Bisons are 8-2 against Lehigh Valley this season with a 4-2 record at Coca-Cola Park. These clubs will meet eight more times this season, meaning a Bisons victory tonight earns them at least a split of the season series. The Herd is 29-13 against the IronPigs since 2013.

Randy Wolf

Tonight, LHP RANDY WOLF will become the 11th pitcher in the International League to make their 13th start on the year. The southpaw is coming off his team-leading fifth win, a complete-game four-hitter last Thursday in game one of a doubleheader with Charlotte. Wolf ranks 6th in the International League with a 2.70 ERA.

Matt Hague

INF MATT HAGUE has an IL-best .350 average. Because he's played in all but one of the Bisons' 66 games, Hague is only 114 plate appearances shy of having his average reach season-ending qualification. The last Bisons batting champion was OF Ben Francisco (.318), who had a .313 average through his first 65 games of the 2007 season (on August 1).

Bobby Korecky

RHP BOBBY KORECKY nailed down his third save of the season last night. The veteran now has 25 career saves with the Bisons -5th most in the team's modern era ('85 on). The 25 saves have come in only 29 opportunities since the 2013 season, good for a 86% success rate.

Rob Rasmussen

LHP ROB RASMUSSEN has allowed just four hits in his last 10 outings (13.2 IP), throwing shutout baseball since May 16. With his time in Buffalo in 2013, Rasmussen has now thrown 71.0 innings as a Bison without allowing a home run.

Bisons Bits

OF CALEB GINDL is 12 for his last 32 at the plate, with a .375 average and seven RBI since June 6...The Bisons have struck out 404 times, 3rd-fewest in the IL...Buffalo is an IL-best 23-3 when scoring first.

Blue Jays Update

In a game that feature nine former Bisons in the starting lineup, the Blue Jays (34-32) fell to the Mets, 3-2. Scott Copeland allowed three runs in four innings to fall to New York's Matt Harvey. Edwin Encarnacion had two hits and an RBI for the Blue Jays. Toronto hosts the Mets tonight at 7:07 p.m.
