Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to wrap up their eight-game homestand with a win on Friday night when they host the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at 7:05 p.m.

RHP Alec Asher (1-0, 0.00) will be on the bump for the IronPigs. Last time out, Asher came within one out of a complete game one-hit shutout against Buffalo before serving up a two-run homer to Andy Burns, but the right-hander earned the win. In four starts with Reading (AA) this season, Asher was 1-2 with a 3.20 ERA in 4 GS.

RHP Anthony Swarzak (1-3, 4.18) gets the ball for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday night. The right-hander was dealt the tough luck loss on Friday when he gave up one run on five hits to go along with a walk and five strikeouts in 8.0 IP. Swarzak got the win on April 25 vs. the Pigs after allowing two runs on five hits while fanning six in seven innings of work.

Pigs INF/OF Darnell Sweeney has notched three straight multi-hit games and is 6-10 over those three contests.

Friday is Star Wars Night, "Revenge of the Sixth" and there will also be a Friday Night Fireworks display presented by WaWa.
