Pigs Begin Seven Game Road Trip

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will begin a seven-game road trip on Monday night when they take on the Durham Bulls. First pitch from Durham Bulls Athletic Park is set for 7:05 p.m. The IronPigs enter play at 21-37 after dropping three of four to Indianapolis over the weekend. Durham currently sits at 32-26 and is tied for second in the South Division after dropping two of three to Gwinnett.

LHP Joely Rodriguez (2-5, 5.76) gets the ball for the Pigs in the series opener. Last time out, the southpaw allowed six runs on nine hits while walking two and fanning three in 4.2 IP and was dealt the loss on Wednesday vs. Rochester. Back on April 29 at Coca-Cola Park, Rodriguez was tagged with the loss after giving up seven runs on 10 hits over four innings of work against Durham that night.

RHP Matt Buschmann (5-4, 3.15) will be on the bump for manager Jared Sandberg's squad on Monday. Buschmann got the loss on Wednesday vs. Charlotte as he gave up four runs on six hits, walked four and fanned three in four innings of work. Over his last 5 GS, the right-hander is 3-2 with a 2.17 ERA. The St. Louis native will be making his second start of the year against the IronPigs. On April 27 at Coca-Cola Park, Buschmann got the win after limiting Lehigh Valley to two runs on seven hits in 6.0 IP that night.
