
Phelps Promoted to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre

(TRENTON, NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees announced today RHP David Phelps has been transferred to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Phelps, 24, started 14 games for Trenton and went 6-0 with a 2.04 ERA. He allowed 20 earned runs on 63 hits in 88.1 innings pitched. This past week, Phelps was also named to the 2010 Eastern League All-Star team.
The Thunder return to Waterfront Park on Thursday to begin a four game series against the Harrisburg Senators. The Thunder will host consecutive fireworks shows on July 3rd and 4th in celebration of Independence Day.
