Adirondack Phantoms News Release

PHILADELPHIA -A tradition will continue this Sunday, Dec. 17 at the Phantoms 5:05 PM game against the Toronto Marlies as "Helping Hands" prints will be auctioned off to benefit the Children's Miracle Network at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

Phantoms players and coaches, along with selected Flyers players, have used paint to make handprints on 11x17 cards, as they have done in years past. The limited edition, framed cards include each player's actual handprints and autograph. They will be available in the Wachovia Spectrum concourse on Sunday during the 5:05 PM game via silent auction, with a selection auctioned off live after the game at Bullies.

This is the seventh year that the Phantoms are taking part in The Helping Hands auction, which has raised over $32,000 since its inception. One hundred percent of the money raised benefits patient care programs at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

"This project is unique to the Phantoms and Children's Miracle Network," said Phantoms COO Frank Miceli. "It has always been a hit with our players and fans. As always, we are thrilled to be able to assist a great organization like Children's Miracle Network."

Individual tickets for all Phantoms games, including $8 tickets for children 14 and under anywhere in the building, are on sale now at phantomshockey.com or by calling 800-298-4200. On Friday night, Flyer Jeff Carter will be signing autographs from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the Wachovia Spectrum concourse. The first 4,000 fans 14 and under through the turnstiles on Sunday will receive a pack of 2006-07 Phantoms player cards courtesy of Pepsi.
