
Petes Kick off Western Road Swing with Win

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes kicked off a Western Conference road swing with a decisive 5-1 win over the Windsor Spitfires on Thursday night.
Nick Robertson (23) opened scoring for the Petes before Will Cuylle tied the game at one. Chad Denault (7, 8) Chris Paquette (26), and Liam Kirk (20) responded for the Petes. Denault's goals marked the first multi-goal game of his OHL career.
Robertson, Paquette, Kirk, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, Zach Gallant, and Adam Timleck registered single assists.
Petes goaltender Hunter Jones turned away 29 of 30 Windsor shots. Windsor led 30-19 on the shot clock. The Petes were 1/6 on the power play and 4/5 on the penalty kill.
The Petes continue their road trip on Saturday, March 2 at 7:05pm when they face the Flint Firebirds, and on Sunday, March 3 at 5:30pm as they visit the Saginaw Spirit. They'll return to home ice to host the Kingston Frontenacs on Thursday, March 7 at 7:05pm.
