
Pete MacArthur Released from PTO

Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced Friday that club has released forward Pete MacArthur from his professional tryout contract with the Rivermen.
MacArthur, 26, appeared in one game with the Rivermen on Nov. 17 against the Lake Erie Monsters. He joined the team from the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. In 14 games this season, he had already recorded 15 points (three goals, 12 assists). His 12 assists led the entire ECHL at the time of his promotion. Last season, appeared in 21 games with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage and has played in 165 career AHL games.
His most successful season was with the Rockford IceHogs in 2009-10 when he set career highs in assists (34), points (42) and games played. He has also played for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, on an amateur tryout contract, following his senior season at Boston University (2007-08).
The Rivermen take on the Oklahoma City Barons tonight at 7 p.m. All games can be heard on CD Country 107.9 FM or online through www.rivermen.net.
