Bulldogs Assign Olivier Malka to Wheeling

HAMILTON, ON (December 9, 2011) - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Pierre Gauthier announced today that defenceman Olivier Malka has been assigned to the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers.

Malka, 21, played in 8 games with the Bulldogs this season, posting one assist and 11 shots on goal since being recalled from the Nailers on November 15th, 2011. The 5-foot-10, 192-pound defenceman made his professional debut with the Bulldogs in the team's 5-2 season-opening victory over the Rochester Americans on Saturday, October 8th, 2011. In seven games for the Wheeling Nailers this season, the native of Montreal, Quebec registered seven points (1 goal, 6 assists), 21 shots, a +5 rating and 17 penalty minutes.

The Hamilton Bulldogs' next game is scheduled for TONIGHT, Friday, December 9th, 2011 against the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
